Wolverine used to make a flat/smooth bottom boarhide boot with a steel toe and my last pair is about shot and I cant' find anything even similar. I saw a Red Wing but it was a pull up and i would like laces. Any ideas?? Tnx.

I think mine are Red Wing
9532, and you can get them
with a steel toe.

I've always used tradesman style boots and many different brands, these are usually lace up boots with white non slip wedge soles specifically designed for grip and not for tracking in dirt or marring floors.

J.C penny, Sears, Cactus, Knapp and a few other brands over the years. I stopped buying Wolverines as I never found their stitching to stand up more than a year.

I've heard Red wings are good but have usually opted for two pairs of cheaper boots that I buy insoles for and then rotate them in use and they last longer.

I think my last pair were Big Macs from JCPenny.

Boots such as these http://www.amazon.com/Timberland-Me...=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=shoes&qid=1260842814&sr=1-3
