I had my first floor job yesterday...and it was pretty cool. I set the boards while bossman nailed the floor down. It was a 12 x 12 room. It was a good experience and I look forward to doing more floors.

Cheers.

No pictures?...... It didn't happen.
No longer a virgin, everyone remembers their first time.
A square room is the perfect place to start. Take your time, and learn all the different tricks and techniques, before you take on more advanced jobs. I would recommend that you find someone locally with hardwood flooring experience to help you, just in case you find yourself in a pickle.

If your going to start installing wood floors you need to buy a few special tools.

A walljack , undercut saw & definitely a board stretcher.
I would NEVER even start a job without my trusty board stretcher...
Expand your skills now by trying to floor an entire home or business. A single 12 x 12 room is a good start. Good Job :)
