how does GE Money work when it comes to no payments for a year, zero percent for a year ect...?
does it come at a cost to the contractor?
if i don't offer financing, what are some good ways a homeowner can obtain these sorts of deals on their own? what banks?

I tried that some 20 years ago.
Why don't you go down to your friendly banker ( ha ha ) and ask them if they are offering any remodel loans , home equity , etc.

Let them know that you run into home owners all the time who would like to finance their work.

Get to know the loan officer, ask them their criteria, get them to committ somewhat - are they really loaning right now and on what, how much ?

Ask if you can refer customers in - you might be suprised.

Keep calling around locally - you might have to change banks.

Yes, GE Money charges us up front...for most programs. Contact them and get a list of their offers and how much they charge.
