I have 3 doors to fix that were installed incorrectly, the reveals are way off, the door doesnt close correctly and it looks like the door was sagging before hardware was installed.
I'm going to have to lift the the door so much that the strike plate and bolt wont work anymore.
I've filled damaged jambs before with bondo but I'm wondering if such a small amount (maybe 1/4 up?) in the old strike plate will chip/fall out over time because there isnt much grab.
Should I gouge the repair deeper to get a good bond? rough it up with my drill rasp? Fill and forget?
oversized strike plates are not an option.
Thanks!
