We are renovation group based in Queens, NY, looking to start or partner with Excavation/Foundation company. As of now we outsource close to 10 jobs a year.

Let me know if you are interested or can recommend the best path to starting excavation company?

Rent vs Purchase excavator?
Do you need a dumb truck?
Where do you store the excavator?
What additional insurances needed?

thank you,
Daniel.

Hi dankay, we are in NYC as well but not an excavation company. However when you are doing excavation and encounter contaminated soil you can call us 718-209-0653 to help.
Just my humble opinion.

Rent vs Purchase excavator? That depends on how much capital you have, Also how much work you have lined up.
Do you need a dumb truck? The problem with having your own dumb truck is than you need to hire a dumb truck driver. :whistling
Where do you store the excavator? At your shop or at the job site.
What additional insurances needed? Whatever is required in your state for excavation contractors.

thank you,
Daniel.
Hey SRE, there are plenty of dumb truck drivers out there. They are a dime a dozen.
