hey guyes,
What do you do to beat exaustion. I keep finding myself tired all day long. I eat right and work out 3-5 times a week, and get about 8 hours of sleep a night. So i have no idea i only drink about two cups of coffie first thing when i get to work. More of a social thing than anything else. just looking for some ideas.
thanks

ephedra. Not on a daily basis though.

You can get it in Montana, not sure about Idaho.

As for your situation, chronic fatigue could be something more than not eating or sleeping right. Maybe a visit to the doc?

If the Doc does nothing for you, you can try some of these

Drive with your right foot all the way to the floor at all times

Invest all your money in Penney stocks

Take up base jumping and skip the lessons

Baby sit all the kids on the street by yourself

Open a door on the truck, lock the doors, throw the keys in the bed, slam the door shut on three fingers

Some of those should keep you awake

I hope this helps:laughing:

Definitely check with the Doc.
Maybe you picked up something
in the "Sand Box"?
Maybe just a let down cause
coming home wasn't everything
you hoped for?

Higgs,
Look into a sleep study if you snore. I thought my snoring was nothing to worry about.

I had the same problem a few years back. When I retired from playing football I put on a few pounds (weight I would usually take off in the spring and in camp). I started to snore a bit. In time the snoring got worse. I went for a sleep study and was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea. Got a C-PAP machine just before I took the wife to Italy in 2006. Once I returned the C-PAP machine went into the closet for 2 years.

Moved to NC and went to the doctor with your same symptoms. Doctor told me to get back on the machine. Problem solved. Within 1.5 weeks I was feeling fantastic and plenty of energy.

Also, eat breakfast (oatmeal is the best) and drink more WATER. Major reasons why you feel crummy all day.

I agree with the above but will add this from my cycling days (some are dups but they still apply) - at least one rest day a week, you can't run yourself ragged everyday of the week it will catch up with you --- Vitamins (esp B vitamins), plenty of water (without overdoing it) & work on your core muscles
I've got "core muscles"?

I too suggest the sleep study, I've been into lots of customers houses and see the machines a lot, everyone says it made a difference. Me, I usually get bout 5-6 hrs a night but sleep really well, head down, 5 mins later I'm out.
My wife hates that:laughing:

Higgs,

I meant no disrespect with my earlier post. I was only trying to bring some humor to the thread because the visit to the Doc has got to be the first step.

I just noticed that avatar of yours. I was in the USAF and a team member of Prime Beef too. Glad to see that still exists.

I hope you get this thing figured out soon.

Depression is the number one cause for butt dragging syndrome, and it can be surprisingly difficult to realize that you have it.

But another vote for a visit to the doc: a buddy of mine slacked off and didn't take the niacin his doc told him he needed, for several months. Otherwise seemingly healthy, he just couldn't keep his eyes open while driving a tractor trailer at night.

In desperation, he finally went back on the niacin, and he's in the groove now.

Outstanding and almost sounds like a Proverb. I'm going to show this to my workers and maybe it will get them out of their little tear stained world of misery and confussion. :w00t:

Another trick of mine is to bring a CD player and play swing tunes from Glenn Gray and the Casa Loma orchestra and marching band music recorded from every marine band recording and Army group recorded, toward the end of the day so no one gets stuck listening to angry anal hateful, mommy I want to commit suicide modern music from 45 year old musicians that have yet to realize the sweetness of life since they have lived in the basement in a drug stupor since first learning how to lip sync.:jester::laughing:

Seriously, nutritional support may be all you need since coffee flushes the system of nutrients and everything we eat has preservatives and toxins in it, you may just need to go see a nutritionist and see what you are missing in your diet.

Maybe it's the high altitude out there in Idaho. I'd recommend a few days at sea level in Hawaii.
It would be worth the try--
