I am looking for a good estimation software. I have the opportunity to quote some fairly large jobs but it takesso long for me to do a take off. I do it the old fashion way with a calculator and getting prices on line from my supplier. Idealy i would lie to input the info into the software and it give me a material list with part numbers to get quotes from my supplier or already have pricing. Am I crazy or does this kind of software exist?

I've had some experience with On-Screen. I like the fact that it allows takeoff by clicking and moving a mouse, but I would guess most "estimating" programs do that.
Agree 100% with the custom Excel sheet. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to make it work for your specific trade. Drawback with Excel is be very careful if you have to add a row. Make sure your formulas still work correctly.

Howdy! Anyone got the lowdown on some budget-friendly software that's just perfect for a team of 5? If there's a tool where I can pick and choose the features I need and pay for those – that would be absolutely amazing!
