Eppie deck a few years later

Here is a deck i did back in 2008. and im quite shocked that the boards didn't warp. as the IP3 clips i think is a big joke. a #6 screw holding hardwoods this low to the ground :laughing:..........but maybe its because the ground there was all sand so no water buildup

but never the less shows how good this material is.

i hate open miters but i know how to stop them now

also i didnt restore it, it was done by some company which i dont have the site or the pic. but i came across this pic on a landscaper site.
donno why they made it his main page pic

What ever happened to those builders decks you called me about?
Still looks good. And the clips seems to have worked, ha.
Just for my own curiosity, is eppie Ipe?

I've always had success with the clips, don't know if they were different when you used them but its a #8 trim screw. What are the problems people have had with them?

it took one month for the plans to be changed and the guy never called me back, i ended up loosing 2K to WSIB for that crap.
because you gotta pay up front for the insurance. lesson learned again for the 100th time

You can get them in all types of screw sizes from 1-1/2" to 3". I always use a 2" #8 unless its full 5/4" material then I'll bump up to 2-1/2". I have never had any complaints.
