I just wanted to know how many of you "small time" contractors have made the
Switch from hand taping to drywall finishing tools and from sweating copper to using PEX.
Let me know if it was a time/Cost/energy saver for your company like it was ours.
This stuff is amazing!!!!!!

PEX still won't meet code in my area.To bad,I've used it in heating systems for 20 years.

My one full time guy is a taper. He is "full manual". Hates my drywall lift too--Slower than the pinhead method!!!!!!!!!!! The guy likes to make time.

This is ILLINOIS. Laws and codes are frequently written to enrich politicians and business owners.

How much would copper prices drop if no one needed copper pipe?

I use pex on occasion here in Michigan. When I do use it, the system is way faster/cheaper than copper. But at the same time it's hard to sell PEX to the older customers, to them Copper plumbing is like gold. Which is understandable, I prefer copper anyway. pex is just so much cheaper/faster
