I have a and Trane HVAC unit in my attic that has insulated trunk lines (R-4.2) and flexible insulated ducts going to ceiling registers. If I wanted to increase the R value on the ducts, what would be the best insulation to use? Can I double up on foil faced insulation or is there an issue with having two foil vapor barriers?

you could just drape duct wrap over it and it would be fine
if it is hung high you could wrap it but its not going to be fun
duct wrap is r-5.6 foil faced insulation
youll need a large pair of scissors and fsk tape
make sure you use a spatula or something to really press the tape on or it can come loose
