We just finished an apartment job that had lots of wrought iron and metal staircases. The manager was intent that I use a product called Hammerite on the metal. I'd never even heard of it before this but I agreed because he was buying the material.
Folks, this stuff sucks, it will not lay down and is the worse product I've ever used. I tried cutting it with thinner and no dice, it just sagged and looked like crap. I tried it straight out of the can, no luck there either. It was miserable not being able to figure out how to work this stuff. It clogged my sprayer up that I eventually got cleaned out. Even used heavy cutters to no success.
Has anyone here ever used this stuff? When it dried up, it was absolutely brick hard, so it does it's job but getting it to look even average, is impossible.
