does this sound reasonable?

my company restores old woodwork, so I don't know anything about the business/pricing side of plumbing. But I need the drains in my shop power-augered and jetted out ( 'cause sink and toilet are backing up).
Can anyone tell me if the $800 quote I got is a reasonable price. I'm in NYC.
Thanks.

Yep the truck would not pull out in DC for less that 1500 bucks commercial about 2500 bucks
Are you guys serious??

I had a backed up main sewer in a foreclosure I recently bought and they tried to first use the auger/snake on it with little success. Then they brought out the big jetter truck. that opened it up. (mostly line full of sludge).
anyhow the bill was for 240 I believe.

800 a bargain?
1500 in DC?

reminds me why I have no interest in moving east.

About $300 from Ron The Sewer Rat (real business name).
Double that from Roto Rooter or Ben Franklin plumbing.

You should see what lives and grows in a city drain. 240 would get you a kid on a trycicle and super soaker and a wire hanger
