I own a Seamless Gutter business.

I see a opportunity to offer more specilized services in a specific area of my market.

Now, I want to have a seperate name or Slogan for that company:

Example:

Grambart Exteriors, LLC
-WINDOW KING DIVISION

Can I do this without any trouble? Do I need to trademark or file another business name if I want to do this or can I just sticker up my trailer with this stuff?

Thanks,

Ryan Grambart

Check out the laws in your state. In Colorado you have to file a DBA, but there are also rules governing how you market and advertise. I operate EasyRoofs, Inc. as a DBA of Expert Finish, Inc. and Colorado law states that I am supposed to say who the company really is. For example: EasyRoofs, Inc. "advertisement/slogan/etc..." an Expert Finish, Inc. company.

you can always change your slogan to something else or change the complete business name. The only problem is credibility that you've had with your current business. If your branching out into a different market you probably don't want to go through the trouble of setting up multiple business names.
