here paint stores are more likely to have it than lumberyards

I once watched a painter mix an entire bag of that at once, I tried to explain that was wrong but he did not speak english
It was fun to watch

Yup. Good stuff. There's a chance one of your HD's or Lowe's will have the big bag, but not most of them. (In addition to paint stores, as mentioned.)

I always grab a little 5 pound bag but now I will load a small sealable container to reload as needed

Today, one of my HDs had a couple pallets of 5, and more pallets of 90. Nothing else. I guess you'd have to mix them for something in the middle.

You can dose it in to the other intervals of hot mud.

How much, I have no idea ? I think mixing the dry powder completely first is a good idea.

Yeppers, as I stated, drywall supplier for top products. A little further drive, I don’t cater to box store giants or their limited supplies. Keep the local guys in business. I know what I’m getting there

My local commercial supply yard us all metal studs, doors, acoustic ceilings and drywall. And I don't recall ever seeing a big bag of 5 minute there.

Also never compared set time between brands.
