I got my drawer unit today. Ordered it off Amazon as a warehouse product or whatever. Basically sounds like an item that was returned. Described as "5% wear/scratches on bottom". It showed up with a chunk out of the bottom right corner, the bottom drawer had to be slammed to latch, the top drawer opens easily until it's half way out then it binds up.

Does anyone that bought these drawer units new have these issues?

One of the local tool shops here has a ton of the drawer tough system boxes in stock.

I have about a dozen of the tough system boxes, and love them.I looked at about 6-7 different drawer units, and I will say, I was not impressed by the fit and finish of the drawer units compared to the rest of the lineup. Not the same build quality, the drawers bound up easily or didn't latch. Almost like the drawers weren't stiff enough for the sliders, or the slides are too cheap. Either way, I didn't buy any cuz I wasn't impressed.

I was really excited to see a drawer unit show up in their lineup...then really dissapointed that the quality was worse than the others. Was looking forward to leaving a cordless kit at the bottom of the stack, yet still being able to get the tools.

I just got my Drawer unit today.True not built like the others. The bottom drawer would not unlatch on one side, but a little adjustment on the one side latch did it. Sprayed the tracks with a little silicone and it is fine. The drawers are a good idea but could have done a little better job on the build. I like the idea of not having to remove it to access the drawers. The price is good on this system. I also ordered the Tstak system for all of my Cordless tools I know they are not like the tough boxes. But compared to the Festool System they are about 25% of the price.and about the same thickness.

I have had that problem. I have about 8 of them and 2 came in that the drawer opened about half way smooth then it would bind. I looked at the slides carefully and found that the movable slide was off the track of the fixed portion of the slide that is mounted to the box.

Popped them in place and they worked perfect. Possible that someone on the assembly line not paying attention during assembly.
