Like many other I just picked up the dewalt table saw (DW745) on sale at HD. I also picked up the folding stand (DW7450) its nice to have a dedicated stand for the saw. I used to set up my old saw on a set of horse.

Its a great saw but I'm really not liking the power switch... I'm not that tall and I still have to crouch to shut the saw off... doesn't seem safe.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can I flip the switch 180°? Maybe rivet a larger lever to the original switch... I'm not sure what my best option is.

Never had a problem. You sound like you're being a little bit picky about it. Just because you have to reach down to shut it off doesn't mean you have to do so with your body hovering over the blade.
