I dunno, never was a fan of the yellow but, I do believe someone here really likes thiers.
Loneframer maybe?
Ya coulda done better is all I have to say!
The plumbers i know all like the Milwaukee right angle, but say that the big boy has to much power. I think there is a smaller version made too. But for 289 you couldnt go wrong.
One of the guys I know just got that same drill. He paid more than you did too.:whistling It seems to be a real nice machine, although I haven't used it personally. Here is a pic of mine. I love this drill.

I aint really much of a dewalt fan as most of the stuff i ever had from them has had issues. This seemed like a deal for it's size/power/design and for the great price of $289 i dont think i could have beaten it. Current milwaukee aint a tool i want to have anything to do with if possible. Im far from impressed with their cordless range of tools and i guess the corded will be the same.

I think that was the other one they had in their. Not 100% sure. It was at $249 i think. The problem was i had big toy syndrome kick in and see the larger one and it was only $40 more. Wondered if i may have gone OTT as it's pretty dam big and im sure im gonna have arms like popeye after 2 or 3 holes.

what your friend pay? Amazon has them listed for some crazy price like $850 or something stupid like that.

I know he said he paid close to $400 for his. It is a heavy tool. That low speed clutch feature is nice, but it takes quite a bit to get it to slip, so keep your face clear at all times. It will break bones. You will definitely feel it the next day if you push on that thing for a few hours.
Looks like a good deal for $289. I would have gone with a Milwaukee RAD which would probably cost the same if you looked around but I find Dewalt to be very dependable. Was this brand-new or refurbished?
Wow, that thing is a beast! I wonder if the wrap around handle protects your hands in case of a spin out?
This thing is over $800 on Amazon! You did great!

Someone made a typo & Amazon. Everywhere else on the net it goes for around $330. You still did quite well.

a test of some RA drills. I have the Ridgid, paid $150[1/2 off] and $100 credit for a commercial acct. in '07. Good but use my milwaukee 3107-6 more. Like the safety clutch on the Ridgid.
I gave it a quick test out and the dam thing is a beast for sure. What i am wondering though is could this be used as a core drill. the ajustable speed control via the 2 speed switch and varible control with the trigger combined with the bind-up control makes me think thios would be a great drill for dry core bits upto 6". Anyone tried them out this way. Seems to have the TQ for it.
I only see Milwaukees but around here they go for 450!

Put is this way if I saw that drill for that price I would buy it.

I don't think you will be dissapointed good call.
