Crazy problem

I'm in the process of getting my ES-3 Low Voltage license in New Mexico. The approved testing materials include - I'm not joking - the NFPA 72 2010 edition. And ONLY the 2010.

I have procured the book, but nobody has fast tabs for this thing. Not even PSI themselves, who are the ones requiring it. It's a timed test, I need the tabs.

Anyone got an old tabbed one I can look at? I could make my own, but it's a guessing game and I don't even have a reference. I've literally taken this all the way up to the CID bureau chief, who was super nice and helpful but can't get this updated and fixed before my test.

Any ideas..?

Yes, I spoke to them. Very unprofessional, and I got the sense that they're drop shipping from other suppliers - none of whom have the things. Exam Prep 1 sent me the wrong ones and then proceeded to claim I ordered the wrong ones, and I'm not gonna follow that by dealing with a company that can't give straight answers about inventory - and charges more for shipping than they do for the tabs (another indication that they probably don't have them physically themselves).

Appreciate the reply though.

Hello Almost,

If I understand this right, you are looking for Sticky Tabs to place into the NFPA 72 2010 Booklet
to make it easier to find a specific page or document.

May I suggest that if all else fails installing some Scotch Tape Tabs with hand printed page titles
would most likely work as well. The only extra time involved would be the use of a pen.

Then again printing a typed out spread sheet and scissors would work as well.

I know you are just looking for (and can't find) a pile of tabs to just stick on the pages
but I gather that is a bit challenging.

The above crude manual methods might be less stressful but, would work!!

Hope you pass the test and get your license!!

Have a good weekend!!

The placement guide is more important than the tabs themselves, which, as you pointed out, I could make myself.

As it is, I woke need to guess which sections to tab. :-(
