I recently bought a 1950's house in a neighborhood with shifting soil. It is slab with cinder block walls which are cracked. I can't afford to fix the foundation, and given the soil problem it may not be fixable, so I've decided on laminate floating flooring. The issue is what to do about the cracks in the walls. Is there a filler product that will expand and contract or should we panel or what other alternatives are there on a tight budget? Thanks, Kathy

Stabilize the foundation first or your problems are just going to get worse, perhaps jeopardizing the structure.
There are a number of temp. patches but they will all seperate as the structure continues to settle.
