Cork Wall Tiles

1210 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  Aframe
Bidding a residential home office remodel. H/O asked for a cork wall - to pin calendars, paperwork, pictures, etc.

Did a quick google search and found AmCork. Price seems reasonable.

Does anyone have any experience with this? What products can you recommend? Tiles or rolls? How do you adhere it to drywall? Best type of substrate preparation, etc...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did one once with 1/8" or 3/16" cork Set on a homasote base. http://www.homasote.com/products/NovaCork.aspx

Rather than doing the wall as the cork board, we made panels to mount to the wall. That way when/if time came to remove you still had a normal wall

For smaller boards we would use rolled cork I think we just used a contact cement to mount the cork
