Hey all,
I hope someone might be able to help me with my compressor. While unplugging the 3 prong (110v) plug, the round ground prong broke off in the receptacle. Of course, the compressor no longer turns on. I cut the end off of the cord and bought a replacement plug. I paid almost $6 because I didn’t want a cheap plug. I wired the plug the exact same way that it was wired before. I then plugged it into the other side of the receptacle, and the compressor wouldn’t turn on.
I can’t understand what the problem could be. The compressor ran fine before this happened.
The only thing I can think of, which is highly unlikely is, the receptacle is damaged. I plan to replace it tomorrow.
Is there any other reason the compressor won’t work? Could there be a fuse somewhere on the compressor, that may have blown?
By the way, it is a Central Pneumatic 10 gallon 2 1/2 hp compressor.
Thanks for any guidance or direction.
