I'm debating on starting a new rehab project and the house in question has raditors and a boiler. I was told if I buy the home I will have to buy a new furnance. If I did, would you just get a new boiler or buy a forced air furnace and put in all new duct work?

The home is 1600sf, how much should new duct work, removal of old raditors and new forced air furnance cost?

Thanks for the opinions,
Stewart*Chicago

As a home buyer I'd take gas fired hot water heat hands down over forced air heat provided the home had central A/C. The lack of central a/c would be a deal buster. Nothing like window unit a/c to ruin an otherwise useful window.
