I currently have a house plan with 3 bedrooms upstairs with one of them located directly over the livingroom. My question is, if we modified the plan and eliminated that bedroom so the livingroom was open directly to cathedral ceilings would the cost savings in removing the one room (drywall, ducts, electrical, flooring etc.) offset the cost of now having the more expensive trusses put in its place.
