Hi folks,
our back room is 100% ceramic tile and my impatient wife decided to have carpet installed over it.
That's fine except that now the door won't open and the door is such that reversing it to open to the outside isn't an option.
The solution I do see is cutting out the carpet in a square in front of the door to expose the tile underneath in the area where the door sweeps.
What I don't know is what kind of adhesive I would use on the tack strips under the carpet and how I would transition that strip where the carpet meets the tile.

Does anyone have a suggestion in this area?
Many many thanks!
Julian
