You can buy no creep glue to stop the joint from being lubricated. I've got a bookmark in my other computer with a source, just too lazy to look right now. I don't worry about it if I get a little creep, because everything less than 36" wide goes through the wide belt sander to make the face flat.
 
I don't see how this is possible. Glue is liquid, has thickness and is compressible. If the joints are pressed together tight, there is much less creep.
Buy some no creep glue & test it. Then you can decide for yourself if it's possible or not. The no creep glue's are used for veneering & edge glueing. I paid attention because I do a lot of panel glue ups & sometimes wish I had a glue that didn't creep in the clamps. I just never got around to revisiting the site.
