So with my veteran buddies returning from the sandbox and astan, I have been approached for a joint venture.

What's all the vet's take on naming a business or having a logo or some sort of affiliation with your former group or division?

some names have been proposed:

Airborne Builders
Airborne Construction
All American Builders
1st Group

While a worthy tribute to myself and many others, you may be getting too political with that kind of name. That name may turn someone off because they don't support war or a particular political group, etc...

I'd stick with a more neutral name and then support the military through donations or volunteer work. Patriotic, fine. Military, probably not.

Personally, I have no problem with it but this is business.

I agree with angus on this. It's fine to show support, but you're better being "neutral" when it comes to business.

Aside from that, I'd hesitate using something like "(all) American" or "patriot". I've seen those names on many businesses. Gets a bit overused. Doesn't stand out in the crowd.
