Fascinating! What exactly is he doing besides lighting some tires and misc wood at the base. Is he destabilizing it somehow? Just curious as to his methods.

Fred Dibnah, I could watch his videos for hours. My favorite is the one where he sets up his scaffold on a stack, working from a bosun's chair.
That man had some serious balls. :notworthy:notworthy:notworthy

Yeah it's 4:00 in the morning and i have been watching fred dibnah videos for some time now. Fascinating! Makes me want to get into steam engines as a hobby not that I could use one right now. Back when i was a whipper snapper (i'm 35 now) they would still use steam tractors to plow huge acreages in Western Ks. They would hook a bunch of plows together until they had an incredibly wide swath and then hook it to the torque monster of a steam engine and creep along the field....when they finally got to the other side they would turn turn it all around. Amazing.

I think i go to bed now.
