Our plumber broke up the concrete under the basement sink and vanity area to install the drains and left them broken up just filled with gravel, maybe 4 sqft total so not that big of an area. The cabinet guy put the cabinets right over that, I'm just wondering if that's a code issue or not and the cabinets should be removed and concrete poured to repair the broken up concrete? I don't want water issues or cracking under the flooring in the future. Thanks!

Sounds kinda cheesy. I would have expected the concrete to be repaired with concrete. Like for like and all that.
