I recently discovered (today) that my truck is leaking brake fluid.

Not sue where, its somewhere around the master cylinder...

Anyways, its leaked all over a stamped concrete driveway... thats been coated

the spots, according to the HO, turned white.

I will be there tomorrow as I am working on the house.

I am thinking my power washer?

what are driveways coated with?

a touch up?

I do know brake fluid is corrosive... any way to nuetralize it?

I do know I wont be parking in her drive way for the rest of the job!

This is hilarious....

All the painters on my school job drive POS rigs that leak God knows what on the asphalt......

You can't see this leaking where you park at night????

What is the coating you refer to?

More likely you etched the coating.
Call the applicator to fix or more likely to recoat the driveway....

with dot3 the best chances are spraying with wd40 and then coating with baking soda and lightly washing away.. works on auto paint so hopefully you get lucky

Just an update and to respond...

first of all, my truck does not leak anything. I pride myself on that fact. Yes my truck is 20 yrs old, but it DOES NOT leak anything... period...

With that said,

the solution was suggested by the HO... And I have gained MUCH respect for...

take some FINE steel wool, and water, and rub it out. I spent an hour with water, and green plastic scrub pad, and viola! beautiful!

Problem SOLVED!

I tried baking soda, vinager, OB (Professional floor stripper - if anyone knows where to get OB TELL ME)

i TRIED IT ALL!

HO says, water and scrubby... then power wash.. it worked! like a charm! you cant even tell I drooled all over her driveway!

then, 2 weeks later, she blew a brake line in her driveway, I made sure to clean it ALL up!

long story short, while I may be a painter, but my truck doesnt leak. and when it doest, I take responsibility.

Some people on here must be more lucky than you and me---mechanical problems happen----I keep my trucks leak free also---but I did blow a seal on the rear axle one time---black gear grease ---what a mess---
Glad to hear you found a solution---
