hows everyone today , imma bricklayer by trade with no clue on hardwood floors which im doin in my home, i took my old carpet out and i have nice wood floors that had paint smears i used a stripper that got the paint off , but my question is what is the gummy smears left behind and what do i do to get rid of them , im really dont want to sand any info would be greatful thanks guys....

Chemical....

Your sanding now, or your going to have bonding issues.

Never use a chemical, unless you can flood the area to rinse and neutralize the release chemical that will cause your new finish to release.
