I found blasting smaller parts on the ground a pain (in many ways) so I came up with an idea for a blasting table. I built two of them. they are made of pallet rack pieces with wire mesh deck top and have 4" swivel locking casters with covered bearings. They are approximately 36" x 40" x 36" high. For even smaller parts I am thinking of making a basket with 1/2" hardware cloth (steel wire mesh with 1/2" square holes. Are you guys using anything similar for smaller items like car rims and whatnot?

Don't spend to much time on it...the abrasive will wear what ever you use a mesh or cloth out. I have a 4x8 table made out of 3x3 carbon steel and it has expanded metal on it for a top and we grind the welds and reweld new metal on all the time...actually due for a new piece soon.

Good idea with the visegrips, I didn't think of that.
