I've built log cabins over the last 10 years or so over here in the UK and never heard of blasting the logs before re-treating. After reading various comments that you have all put i'm thinking it maybe the way forward for time saving. I now run a maintenance company for log cabins and have been stripping the lodges with aviation stripper, real nasty stuff. I already have 5 lodges booked in for stripping next year and i don't really fancy using the stripper all the time. It takes off what ever treatment is on there if its water based or oil based. The problem is its really expensive stuff and very very time consuming. Just wondered how long it would take to blast a side of cabin that was about 16metres long and about 2.5metres high and the cost of equipment.

Any advice would appreciated

Thanks.
