Quite difficult to pull off.

Knew of a Mason on the late 70's early 80's that did it in brick or rock.

Called: Crazy Brick or Crazy Rock as the case may be.

I respect the he!! out of it but it isn't for me. I'd like to try it...but only if I was getting paid by the hour cause i know I'd be tearing lots out and restarting. Rockheaded (I think, the guy with the Cheshire cat avatar I think) did a drywall in a similar style. I liked it more

I went to a seminar with this guy. he is a "stone worker" not a stone mason. he is an artist that uses stone and drift wood. he lives on the cape somewhere.

Crazy is a good description. I like it, but I wouldn't want to look at it every day, and my wife already has problems with vertigo.:sad:

In the CBS video the narrator said a mantle height fireplace could take a couple months. Not to be a neg. nancey but aint no body got time for dat.
