I was wondering if I could get opinions on what brand you would consider to be the best replacement window. I am opening a new showroom in Maryland and I am looking for a high quality replacement window that I can buy directly from the manufacturer.

Possibly the best service we can render a client regarding their choices / decisions with window selection is to steer them as far as possible from choosing casement windows. Every "name" brand without exception, of casements is prone to sash fatigue, some sooner, some later,it is a matter of when not if.

When sash fatigue occurs, the only remedy is to replace the window. The three durable not disposable brands I mentioned are well aware of the nuances of sash fatigue;designing, building and warrantying their windows against that common short coming is something they build into their products.

If a consumer is unfortunate enough to choose a casement by one of the disposable manufactures they have set themselves up for a constant and continuous cycle of window replacement. Only exception.....if they never or rarely open their windows.

If you are starting a replacement window showroom, I recommend -http://www.windowchoice.ca/window-tips/why-vinyl-windows-are-simply-better- go with vinyl replacement windows[/URL] not wooden or aluminium. Wooden windows are way behind in durability, maintenance and energy efficiency while aluminium windows can be durable, it can hurt energy efficiency and also both wooden and aluminium windows are expensive compared to vinyl windows. They are more durable, less expensive, less maintenance and better energy efficient. It’s popularity is increasing day by day. There are several companies producing vinyl windows. Having a little research in the market will help.

Just installed 11 of them and the homeowner looked at the 250 and 350 series. They good, not the best window out there, but definitely not the worst either...good value for most homies. I had them ordered with built in j channel to ease my pain when siding the place and overall I'd recommend them as a budget conscious window.

I've been installing the Sunrise lines for about a decade now and I really wish that their engineers would have put a little more thought into not just maximizing viewable glass with insert windows, but into a stronger vinyl extrusion that didn't always have frowned sills. Their frames vary from .060" to .080" depending upon where you take readings.

It's about the most expensive vinyl product out there too which was fine with me until they brought in a bunch a new people and cut out of their dealer promotions. The QC last fall was terrible and lead times aren't as good as in the past.
