Best Pvc Trim

I looked at a job last weekend where the homeowner has several rotten places in the window trim, and old masonite siding. I am using FC to replace the rotten siding but was wanting to use PVC for the trim repairs, i havent done a whole lot with PVC and was looking to see what brand is the best to work with.

I've used Azek, Kleer, Certainteed, Excel, the Harvey house brand and the stuff from Home Depot. I haven't noticed a huge difference in working with any of them. I use Excel the most based on logistics.
I use certainteed, but that's all I use so I have nothing to compare to. I have a good relationship with them
used to use azec all the time, now using certainteed. only reason is availabilty and cost.. the dealers.

i prefer azec as certainteed requires a fair amount of sanding to ripped edges to smooth it out where as azec is much more dense it doesnt have as rough of a edge when ripped
I used Azek on one porch and the piece widths were all over the place. 1/16" to almost 1/8" variations. I was really frustrated since they were supposed to be the premier at the time.

Maybe I got a bad batch, who knows?
We are currently using the Royal. It comes in all the profiles that Azek has, backband, sill, crown, etc. I like that each piece comes wrapped and it is also a bit lighter than Azek.
I have been using Versatex, it seen to work good and it is pretty much all we have around here. Like the stuff just wish it was not so spendy.

was any of it sitting in the sun. on a warm day you can literally see it expand as the temperature goes up

I always have my supplier send me out Mastic striated pvc.. never had a problem with it. Comes in 50' and 150' rolls and a bunch of colors
Haha yea I realized that after I thought about it. For pvc trim we always use azek
Certainteed as well here. It's just the brand the local store carries. Everyone calls it azek though.
Annoys the local certainteed rep when you say it to him though :)
