Hey fellas,

Quick question here. Probably going to sound noob here, but only cause I hadn't seen this before.

How often do you guys bend vinyl siding to make an outside corner when installing it on the vertices? Do any of you practice this method?

I try to stay away from vinyl siding, not a good product in this part of the country. I take it you are talking about maybe bending in a brake and continuing on around the cornor. Have not ever done it with vinyl , but do it all the time with steel. But seeing how they make vinyl trim coil really don't see why it can't be done. I would make sure it is warm when doing though.

I did one of my sheds a few years ago that way as an experiment more than anything (white vinyl). It is holding up fine and looks good It was a warm spring day and I just bent it in my brake. We get extreme weather here 30C (90F+) to -40C (-40F) so I would say there is lots of movement in that vinyl. It has never cracked in the corners!!!
