I am remodeling a master bath with two exterior walls in a brick ranch. Demo down to the studs revealed staining from moisture and I would like to maximize insulation on these two walls. I can afford to give ups some interior space. I would appreciate any input or suggested routes to go to minimize moisture issues in cold weather.
Options I am considering:
#1: framing additional 2x4 walls inside of the current framing to increase wall thickness and maximize fiberglass.
#2: fiberglass between studs with rigid foam on interior under drywall
Also will be upgrading exhaust fan capacity as the room is significantly larger than original.
Thanks for any advice.
