I have a job coming up where i'm doing several improvements at a row home, one of which is a 5' slider (Andersen Frenchwood).

Due to the existing unit being trashed from exposure and lack of maintenance, I figured I'd try to up sell a small door canopy for added protection. Owner agreed but didn't want it to project more than 2ft out off the wall. I said it should be 3ft min., but I'd give it good pitch and some hips and everything should look fine. It's 6' 4" wide; 12/12 -16/12; wide enough to cover the door including finished trim.

Since I got home early today, I figured I'd get a jump start and framed her up,...not so sure I'm liking the scale???

Any thoughts? or am I having a brain fart?

The pitch on the house is about 6/12 - here's a older shot when I was doing a retaining wall out out front.

His roof style is the simple gable shown far right side of pic...
