Bad Job

I had a contractor pour a 25’ by 50’ patio here in Wisconsin last week. It was 95 degrees that day and I could see they were having problems just keeping up with the cement truck. Later that day, when it started to dry, I could see several problems.

  • There are no joint lines in the slab. He says it is no problem, he will come back this week and saw cut them.
  • The slab is not level. Several places collect water Two places have puddles over 1 inch deep.
  • The edges are not smooth. He says that this week he will fix with new cement.

I have a driveway that is scheduled to be inspected and poured this week. Do I get a new contractor or can this be salvaged?
