Gentlemen,
Been quite a while since posting here - very busy & not too many issues for a while.
Anyway - I'm planning a siding job, and we're considering fibre-cement shingles. The market leader, of course, being HardieShingle. We like the HardieShingle Staggered Edge Panels.
But - always looking for cost savings - I found this site:
cedarshinglesdirect.com
which, as best I can gather, is the internet face of a manufacturer called Michigan Prestain, who make pre-stained panelized cedar shake, but also, apparently from their website, pre-finished fibre-cement staggered-edge shingle panels.
Difference - the site proposes factory-direct purchasing and pricing.
Question is - are all fibre-cement shingles created equal? Anyone acutally used these peoples' product?
Thanks.
