just wondering what kind of contractors license they require in texas for overhead doors. I know that a lot of states like WA or ID only require a specialty licenes for residential overhead doors. as long as you're not hard wiring anything or doing any structural framing. Anyone know what the deal is in texas?
bonds, licensing, insurance requirments?

as far as I can tell Only specialty contractors, including HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, plumbing, and well drilling/pump installation specialists, need to have a contractors license in Texas but I still can't find any bond or insurance requirements.

anybody?

I can find no requirements for general liability insurance in your line of work in the State of Texas. I didn't have GL when I was a trim/cab contractor there in the 70-80s

That isn't to say you shouldn't have it.
