farmer walks in a says he has 8 wheels off a truck, asked him what kind and size he says **** i dont' know just regular wheels. I tell him ok grab em and ill do em for 25 a peice. he brings me wheels that were rusty as hell off of a semi!!! told him its going to be 35 a wheel, he gets pissed and tells me im a crook. I told him hes a crook for not telling me they were off of a semi, take it or leave it. Farmers for the most part want something for nothing almost always. I did end up blasting them for 35 after he found out that I was the only one around willing to do them for that. I run into this crap ALL the time!!

Columns on Viagra

Here is a good one, if you got a minute. Early in my career I was assistant super on a 10 story concrete frame building. The design was post tensioned slabs on round columns, the columns were to be bush hammered and left exposed as an architectural feature.

At the 6th floor the column sizes reduced by about a 3rd since the loads from there to the roof were substantially less.

Had an old retired guy who was real friendly and would come by everyday on his walk and we would talk through the construction fence. We were setting the thin fiberglass forms for the reduced size columns on the sixth, and the size reduction was obvious cause you could see still see all the larger columns stacked up underneath.

The old guy asks me "do those columns expand that much when you wreck the forms?" :w00t::laughing::laughing::laughing: I kept myself from laughing at the old guy long enough to explain the size reduction, and then went straight to the office trailer to tell the super. We laughed about that for the rest of the project.

Caller I.D. helps. It keeps a record back a few days. Or star 69 if it was still the last call that had come in. Also My T Mobile voice mail gives the option to "undelete" before it's final. Hope you still get him!
I have caller ID, problem is the guy must work for a medical outfit, calling in is not an opption. out of a million times trying I got some one once.
they did not know anybody at the job who owned a older vet?

who knows how many calls i've lost and didn't know of, we lose power up here all the time.

One guy asked me if I "spray the soda wet?"

And I said that I have a wet ring that I use sometimes,

Than he says, "does it leave it sticky after? Do you have to wash it off?"

This guy was asking a serious question…. to my face!

I tryed not to laugh as I explain to him...

I work IT for a large company, but some guys out in the shop know I blast on the side. So this one guy comes up to me the other day that makes BBQ smokers...smoking is another passion of mine, but that's another story. Anyway, he was saying how he built a big smoker on a trailer and took it to a guy who "bent him over" on pricing. He wanted the whole thing blasted and it was BIG. I said "How much did he charge?" He says "$160, can you believe that?" I said "that's not too bad" and later in the conversation I mentioned how people think you're just blowing sand at something and it's cake and should be done for free. He agreed with me, apparently forgetting that he had just bashed the other guys pricing. No way I'd have done what he was describing for $160.

Had a guy bring up a fender to an old MG car.

Got ready to blast it, He wanted to watch through the window because he was curious on how it was done.

after getting done, I bring it out for him to see. he looks at me and says,
"How did you get the rust off and leave the gray primer, thats looks great!"

I had to tell him that that was bare steel....... should of charged double for leaving the primer.. LOL!
