Yes, another resident of San Antonio.
I am like most military brats, brought here.
And like quite a few, have nearly no interaction with the locals, San Antonio is just a place to be from.
I find construction to be an excellent occupation when the economy is stable, I can work for just about anyone in the trade as an equipment operator or driver, whoever got the contract, no questions asked.
This is very much like the military, do your job, where that might be, and stick with your buddies.
