Sweet toy, does it have to be pretty calm to fly it?
Its supposed to be somewhat calm. A little wind is ok though. But im a little hard headed and really push it. Still havent had a problem yet...

cool, do they require FAA license to fly in your area?
No, no federal laws yet other than not flying about 400ft, no fly zone within a 1 1/2 mile radius around airports and no national parks.

You also must have direct line of sight to the unit, if it goes out of sight you are violating the rules.
What rules do you speak of? Just an FYI. If you lose sight you lose connection and the quad will stop, go up 10', and fly back to its home GPS spot that you set prior to flight.
