Hey guys I have a antique dresser And desk I need to refinish. I am going to strip the tops only as the paint on the tops are cracked and peeling.

What type of paint should I use?
I was leaning towards a door and trim paint in antique white and hope it matches close enough

But I am curious what you all think is the best way to do this. Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Go with Benjamin Moore oil, before stripping the top, try to remove a piece of paint, bring it to your paint store and let them match it, good primer first, GMOD

Strip problem areas, sand everything else. Prime with fresh start fast dry alkyd primer, sand and paint with satin impervo (oil, 2 coats). As genecarp said, if you can get it color matched it is always much easier.
