Started this week a simple job of redoing 2500sq. ft. of cement plaster
in a round - about.
I will have to jack hammer off the old, and make new.
Scaffolding is up (3300sq.ft) in a day.
Will have all the Engineers here next week to argue how to procede.
I did a great job with the scaffolding if ya ask me

How are you controlling silica? Is the wall out of plumb or scaffolding? Pays to barricade 10' past the height in the event of tip over. I don't see green tag in and or red tag out of service. Believe there is bracing/ tie off 2' bucks would equal 8 ' minimally and every 10' in height from then on. Just can't see much. Also hard to see egress/ ladder. Wind gets in there could be problem.

basically it's with the law, a few more details to add, (green tag in, red tag out) thats cool,I may just add it to confuse people here.
Basically our silica laws are non existent,
They tell ya to keep a cigarette lit so that the dust wont bother you

Surely you jest sir? Hopefully yourself and any helpers will be geared up with respirators or at the very least mist a water vapor on the demo concentrated area. Personal safety is no smoking mockery. Have lost countless tradesmen to cancer over the years. Oddly several pancreatic cancer, not an expert by no means nor am I drawing conclusions. Just not an admirer of coincidences. Although silica is assumed to effect the lungs. 3 life time veteran tradesman passed well before their time in my small circle of pancreatic cancer. Safety class dismissed, " No such thing as being to safe"
