Wow!!!

Would you just look at how much more preserving agents they put in PT lumber back then! Patchy, sure, but undoubtedly more resilient than the watered down stuff we must be getting today :laughing:

Oh, and AmeliaP, I'd get some drylok onto those blocks pronto! It'll cure that water intrusion evident in the top pic lickety-split.

Awe.....we haven't heard back from the guy on the proposal. :(

I was looking forward to this one. I love a big can of worms project.

He may rip it down though. He had other things that needed to be done and so it isn't unnecessary to do a tear down and rebuild.

What is the backstory on this? I've had 200yo homes go back down on level foundations where there's lots of daylight, but this looks nothing like a new OR level foundation.........

It doesn't look like you've got anything working in your, or the owner's favor..........what gives??
