I've framed 10+ houses w/ 2x4s but never 2x6's

this house has 2x6 exterior walls - how do you guys build your headers?

3 2x12s plus OSB or plywood seems excessive - w/ 2x4 walls we always just use 2 2x12s w/ OSB sandwiched in between

makes sense - probably need to get some insulation, if I'm going to box them like mentioned

my next big question mark??? is how do you build corners for 2x6 walls? i'll start another post for that. not the same as 2x4's, i'm realizing

I'm glad i went w/ 2x6's but i got some more things to learn

How much foam does it take to fill up a 2x6 header, say 4 feet long?

I like the idea, just concerned about the cost.

I do have about 10-12 cans of "Great Stuff" lying around - love it -

plus it just went down to like $4.50 a can, which is better then before
