2 million gal holding pond *pics*

This is a 22,000 yard holding pond. It will hold 2 million gallons of water and will feed a fire supression system for a acetylene and propane gas manufacturing plant. There will be a rubber liner installed since we are in sand and gravel. Also, there will be a pump with a 12" D.I. line feeding the sprinkler system. There is a 30,000 gal tank under the floor in the building with a 36" HDPE return line.

I am on the Kobelco 200 sloping the banks. Man, I wish I had our swinger attachment. The company wanted the pond to be wavy, just like a golf course, lucky me. The main hoe is a Volvo EC 460 with a 4yd bucket and the trucks are a Volvo A30 and a Terex 2766C.

P.S.

Can anybody tell me what the machine is above my hoe near the trees in the 4th pic. Also, can someone tell me what is wrong with it.
How fast is the pumping station going to drain the pond if it's ever activated?

I don't know what it is, screen maybe? Anyway it must be busted....get up there and fix it.

Nice looking slopes.

How in the world will you place a liner that big?
Are you getting a one piece liner or stitching multiple liners together?

Nope......... I bet Nick will guess right.

It is getting subbed out. The company will be putting in sheets and there is tape that gets glued and rolled on the joints.

Check it out

How about a broken masted crane.
Is that a old 217 Washington yarder missing some things??
I cant tell, looks like an old Diamond with a chuck of steel drove down through the cab.
Nice job on the digging though.
It is my cousins D8K. What you see sticking up in the air is the cab tilted back. Something broke inside of the oil pump and they lost oil pressure. My uncle tore the motor out and is rebuilding it. $20,000 just for parts.
