My mother in law was over today to help with gardening. She fed a cat that came into the yard with a piece of ham and now the cat has adopted us and won't go away. Oh boy.

Try the books by Michael Connelly for the Bosch series, or should I say Hieronymus Bosch. Concrete Blond, Trunk Music, etc. I got hooked on them, have read them all in e-format.
Just finished Concrete Blonde.

Been listening on Audible. Got a subscription as a Christmas present. So it gives me an alternative to radio as I work...likeing it

My cat likes ham and turkey deli meat. When it's fresh she can't get it quick enough. I tear it up into bite size pieces while she trying to push my hand out of the way to get at the pcs in the dish.

This guy needs to pick better girlfriends if he wants to restore his car:

'
Anyways I was out of town for a couple days on a business trip for the small local company I work for. When I got back, my girlfriend was all smiles. Making me food all the time, doing all the chores, all that. I though maybe she just was happy to have me home but then I realized that I didn't see her car in it's usual spot. I asked her where she parked so I could make sure I mow that area and keep it clean and she said not to worry because she parked in the garage. I asked how and she told me to go check it out. Turns out that while I was gone she hired some people to come over and move everything related to that car, including the drivetrain, body, and chassis and all parts, and take it to the local dump/scrapyard.

At least he got the car back. That's a huge lack of respect. Good thing he kicked her to the curb.

Re: Totally Random Thoughts... (Part II)

Love how the family says he's ruining her life. Why don't you ask if he took one of their cars and gave it away to the scrap guys without their permission. What would they think?

They may see a pile of parts, but the guy putting it back together sees the car in total. And what kind of a priss has the audacity to clean out your garage while you're not there so she can park her car in there? Wow, good thing he got rid of her then. I can see that biotch ruining his life for a long time down the road. She really only can think of herself.

I was most amazed that she obviously thought she could get away with it.

Um, no.

Actually, it's a cheap lesson for him.

Re: Totally Random Thoughts... (Part II)

Went to another city to get some tires put on the truck that my wife's uncle was able to get at cost for me and had them put on at his shop. He tried to do an alignment but said an inner on one side and an outer tie rod on the other side had a lot of slop in them.

Fast forward to today, I install an inner and outer making sure to line them up as best I can with the old alignment then take it to the dealer for an alignment.

Wow I didn't even get it close. Holy hell that steering wheel was a half turn off. Good thing I live close by. The service writer laughed when he drove it in. I guess that's why I'm a carpenter and not a mechanic.

Probably shouldn't have painted industrial grade acrylic primer in the sun, but needed to get the job done. That stuff is already like painting with molasses. Thankfully it's just some extension forks and looks won't matter!

The larger, more profitable gutter system sells itself.

Handle 40% more water.
They Don’t overflow even during the hardest rains

This homeowner was able to eliminate the downspout that created an ice rink every winter in this his driveway when it drained both ways before.

5” gutter and 2x3 downspout draining in one direction can’t handle a downpour. Told the guy I could eliminate it draining onto the driveway with the larger gutter system. Easy sell.

Now I know....I had no clue before.

Quote:
The term "isolated" refers to showers that are few and far between. WDBJ7 Meteorologists see isolated between 10% to 20% coverage. "Scattered" refers to the range of 30% to 60% coverage. So, even with "scattered" showers, half or less of the neighborhoods are expected to "get wet."
